On day I may organize these into a nice display here on the site, but I wouldn’t hold out for it.  These photos were always popular on the last incarnation of CCSM, so I thought I would include them here as well.

These are photos from working on two different cruise ships – one in Hawaii and another in Europe, Africa and the Caribbean.  They are in no particular order and are not necessarily musician-related.  They are all on my Flickr account – click the image to be taken there:

I saw some great things while I worked on ships.  Some 30 countries in all – just from working on a ship.  It’s a great way to see the world if you have the freedom to do so.

Hello, I have an offer to work with a band for Carnival. The money sounds good. I have to pass the medical thing first. Can you give me any information about that, like what would prevent me from getting the work. I have to pay $400 for the process in order to get the job. Also, are there places on board to be alone if you want to practice, read a book, etc. I don’t drink so I imagine I’ll have a lot of alone time. thanks, mark

Hello! I find this information extremely helpful! I was just offered a singing position through Carnival Cruise and this is my first time doing anything like this.
What can you tell me about cell phone use? Should I cancel my plan, find a different, international plan, etc.? Is there ever cell reception on the ship? I’m very close to my family and I’d like to know how often I can expect to call home!
I take it you really like cruise ship work then, huh? Have you ever worked for Carnival?
