I was slapped today with a written warning for something I wrote on this website a few weeks ago. Apparently the head office takes the time to monitor my entries.

Since I apparently have the undivided attention of the head office, I’d like to ask: Who recieved the written warning for losing my computer? You may remember that the ship lost my computer back in August and conveniently forgot to write up a security report, among other things. Feel free to read the entry “Sob Story” for all the details.

Officers around here get compensated for the silliest things. I heard just the other day about an officer that rented a scooter in Mexico, skidded out and broke is $1,200 glasses. The company paid for the whole thing.

One of the arguments for not acknowledging the loss of my computer was that it had nothing to do with work. Since my web work here on Preservation Records seems to relate so closely to my work as to bring disciplinary action for it, I’d say that that argument is now moot.
