I found what i believe is the greatest website ever created for bands/musicians: Reverb Nation. </p> <p>I don&#39;t work for Reverb Nation, but I plug it to all my friends because it is simply amazing. They include every aspect of a successful band&#39;s business model, including CD!</p> <p>Here&#39;s the great part: you can upload your songs to your profile as well as all your album artwork and customize your album online. Then, release the album in the online store that they also set up for you. All this at absolutely NO COST! The CD&#39;s are manufactured per order, so no need to keep an inventory or invest thousands of $$ in CD&#39;s you may never sell. Their base price for a jewel cased CD with a 4 page insert is $5.49 per CD. So you get to mark it up however much you like, say to $20. Then when someone buys the CD off your online store, Reverb Nation produces the CD, Packages it and sends it directly to the buyer. Then, they deposit your profit into your paypal account. Easy! Yes, $5.49 per CD is steep, but you invest nothing!</p> <p>If you want to buy larger quantities for yourself, prices do get cheaper. And I think your right that there probably is something to be said for the gear/knowledge/experience for this thing. They really took care with the project - they helped me with the graphic design as well. </p> <p>I don&#39;t know discmakers personally, but I get the feeling they are a very big company and your project becomes &quot;a number&quot;, lost in the pile. But there is the advantage of the best gear and a lot of experience and knowledge.
