We are experienced musicians offering a variety of styles for all occasions. We have been asked to perform at a wedding whilst the bride walks down the aisle and then for a 1 hour drinks reception?
What is the going rate?

Depends a lot of the geography and other stuff, but I'd say at least $150 for the ceremony (no rehearsal included) and $75/hr per person for the cocktail music.
You might also try to get a minimum of 2 hours for cocktail music. Sometimes it just doesn't feel worth it to set up your gear for 1 hour, you know?
Agree with David. It would depend on the location and how many songs or hours they would play. Piano/Violin duet is good since violin solo is not recommended for weddings, however, for the tight budgets and small guest list, it can serve as a viable option. I am guessing that would cost $200 for two hours and rehearsals not included on that rate. My violin teacher back then had some performances in wedding ceremonies. Well she said to me it was her part time.
I was able to contact my former violin teacher and she said it would take about $150-$200 for two hours and there would be additional $50/hour at cocktail hours.
