I have a karaoke biz and am wondering about karaoke on cruise ships… what info can you give me on who/how to contact someone.

I live near Charlotte NC so I’m thinking I would have to drive to Florida with my equipment (which is heavy) to board. I have JBL speakers, Shure wireless mics, and approximately 15,000 quality songs to sing.

I am a pretty versatile singer… Aretha, Cher, Patsy Cline, Trisha Yearwood — heck I can even do some male songs. I say this because I usually have to sing first to get the crowd going & then it takes off pretty quickly. Should I get a tape together or video?

What do you suggest?

Hi Dianne -

In my experience cruise ships don’t hire professionals for the karaoke – they have crew members from the activities staff run it.
