Hello all,
Ok so I know there was a post on the website about how to move to Europe, and I really enjoyed reading it, but now I am asking a related though more specific question.
In the article by James Hall, he mentionned that he went to study there and came back after, which means he already had contacts that could have made things easier. I am currently living and studying in Toronto, but I want to see the world and I am really attracted to Europe and, as a back-up plan maybe the States. The thing is, I am still young and will be looking to pay for student loan debt after I graduate (next year) and won't have that much financial resources to invest in moving overseas without having an established plan. The kind of information I am looking out for is what should I do to get a kind of purpose to get in another country? Should I look out for music internships/related jobs that I can apply for before leaving? Are there any semester-long perfectionnement program available in European schools (after graduating I really don't see myself investing in another 3-4 years program...)?
Basically I am open to any European Country (except France, since I'm french canadian and looking for another type of culture!)so I guess my options are not limited...How do you plan a relocation like that before being in the actual country? Are there any music-related opportunities that could be available for somebody willing to relocate anywhere?
I know this might all sound pretty vague but I just want to gather as much infos as possible.
Thanks!
Andree-Ann
