Hi David

I have passed the audition to work for a major cruise line but I am concerned I will not pass the Medical/Physical.

I am physically very fit, but I am Hep C positive for 20 years. I have never been ill and it is against the law to discriminate against this in Australia… but concerned it will be an issue.

Do you, or anybody know if I will be rejected because of this?

Should I contact the company before I go for the physical or any other suggestions on how I can find out?

Great site bro.
Cheers
The medical stuff is always tricky. I had cancer 5 years ago and I was on a ship 2 years ago. It almost didn't happen, though, they were very suspicious of my medical background. But in the end they let me on no problem.

I bet it depends a lot on the wording your doctor uses for the results of the physical.
