Hi Guys,
I'm about to start my final year of my music degree in Melbourne, Australia and i am very seriously considering auditioning and hopefully getting a few contracts when i graduate.
The only issue is at the moment i am a clarinet major. I currently double on alto and teach it (i also have a tenor and flute lying around somewhere...) but my alto reading skills at the moment wouldn't be up to scratch.
Basically i was wondering what sort of instrumentation is in the show band?
In the way of woodwind, all i am certain of is that there is an alto which would ussually double clarinet and/or flute?
is there a tenor? baritone? bass clarinet? or are we looking at a one man reed section?
Obviously i will need to start working more on alto and flute if i wanted to play in the show band?!?
