<p>I’ve been trying to look into colleges that offer film scoring as a concentration. Apart from USC and Berklee, does anyone have any suggestions?

Have you looked into the public universities in California? Since the business of film scoring pretty much takes place here, I’m sure there are more schools offering that major than USC…although USC is a very good school for sure!

now that I think of it, have you checked out UCLA? I don’t actually know if they have that, but I know they have a strong film program, so I can only imagine that they’d have film scoring in the Music department.

How about CalArts?

If I were you I would go to a school somewhere near Hollywood. That’s the only way you’ll get connections in the industry. And that gig is ALL about connections in the industry.
