I am starting a gig as a solo guitar/ singer on HAL in January. I will have a single cabin. I know that I am allowed to be in guest areas because I was told what I would have to wear when being there. Does anyone know if I will be allowed to use the gym? Also, I am a scuba diver. I assume that I will not be allowed to go on any of the scuba excursions but wondered if anyone has hopped off the boat and gone diving while in port? Thanks. Gary
You might be able to use the guest gym, but if not, you'll be able to use the crew gym. I've seen some crew gyms that were better than passenger gyms!
As for scuba diving, I think you'll find plenty of opportunities - and you might be able to go on the guest excursions after all. It probably depends on how crowded they are (or aren't).
I was a musician on HAL's Noordam last winter and we were able to use both the crew and passenger gyms. Also, I found some good spots for Scuba in St. Thomas and Curacao. We also had a rigger on board who would go scuba diving as often as possible. Hope this helps.
