Has anyone who has worked on cruise ships here decided to stay in whatever part of the world they were in for a short post contract vacation? I am in Europe and am trying to figure out how I can do this--everyone on the ship is giving me different answers from I can stay in the EU as long as I book my own plane ticket home to I could be arrested for not getting on the plane the cruise company booked for me. Does anyone know how this works and if you think it would be a big deal to take a short vacation and fly home on my own? Thanks in advance.
