Thanks for the great articles, David! I especially like the idea of including a playbill-style bio on your resume. I was wondering what you and your readers thought about taking the playbill concept one step further and including a small head shot next to the bio?

Wow David, thank you so much for this fantastic resource. This website is now my "go-to" for finding helpful information in my passionate pursuit of being a full-time musician. I used your resume template for my recent resume update and felt so proud to send it on! Thank you.

In addition to playing and running a private studio, I've been exploring avenues to provide tuition free music education to children in underprivileged areas. Have you heard of anything like that? Do you know of any resources or organizations (or individuals for that matter) who are working in this field?

I love this article David! I'm a college student now and was wondering if you have any suggestions on how to "document" things like playing for senior shows here and there or just plain accompanying singers to help them on a daily basis? I don't have any professional credits, just lots of hands-on, rather informal experience that I feel makes me the better musician I am today. Thanks!

I'm an auditions administrator for the Army Band program. We require resumes as part of our selection process and I just wanted to let you know that I will start funneling potential applicants to this article as a point of reference. Great information!

The bio and skill set graphs are great ideas, not just in terms of convenience for the employer, but also because they make the resume look more visually interesting.

I really like the idea of a graph inserted in the resume. It is refreshing to see a creative way to present one's information. Do you recommend inserting work experience from out of the music realm in one's resume when applying for a music position?
